Health and Safety Policy

INTRODUCTION
This document sets out the standards for appropriate ethical and professional behaviour of its employees (including Directors). It sets out the fundamental values which form the basis of, and underpin all the Company's business relationships.
COMMITMENT
Mart Resources Inc. will conduct its business in accordance with best practice and is committed to observe best international oil field technologies and practices, high standards of health and safety, and to play due regard to the protection of the environment and the needs of the communities in which it is active
POLICIES
1. BUSINESS CONDUCT
1.1. MART RESOURCES INC. conducts its business with honesty and integrity, and with respect to its interest of all those with whom it has relationship.
1.2. MART RESOURCES INC. is committed to pursue growth for the benefit of its shareholders, employees and the countries where it operates, and to ensure the enhancement of the communities in which it has a presence.
1.3. MART RESOURCES INC. will comply with the laws and regulations of the countries in which they operate and to maintain the highest standards of safety.
1.4. MART RESOURCES INC.'s accounting records and supporting documents will accurately describe and reflect the nature of the underlying transactions.

1.5. MART RESOURCES INC. will maintain a sound system of internal control to safeguard shareholders' investment and the company's assets.
   
2. HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT
2.1. MART RESOURCES INC. is committed to high standards of health, safety and environment protection (HSE) within all its operations.
2.2. MART RESOURCES INC. will strive to prevent all accidents and injuries through the active participation of every employee and contractor. The Company is committed to continuous efforts to identify and eliminate or manage safety risks associated with its activities
2.3. MART RESOURCES INC. will conduct its business in a manner that protects the health of employees, others involved in its operations, customers, and the public. The Company is committed to continuous efforts to identify and eliminate or manage risks associated with its activities.
2.4. MART RESOURCES INC. will conduct its business in a manner that is compatible with the balanced environmental and economic needs of the communities in which it operates. The Company is committed to continuous efforts to improve environmental performance throughout its operations.

   
3. COMMUNITIES
3.1. MART RESOURCES INC. recognises and respects the culture, values and traditions of the communities within which it works. We will consult openly and honestly with those that might be affected to:
 
  • achieve mutually acceptable outcomes;
  • seek opportunities to share in the benefits which flow from our activities;
  • create lasting relationships built on mutual respect and trust.
   
4. EMPLOYEES
4.1. MART RESOURCES INC. is an equal opportunities employer and recruits, employs, develops and promotes in line with best practice and on the basis of the qualifications and abilities required for the work to be performed to the required standard.
4.2.

Employees of MART RESOURCES INC. are required to exhibit high standards of personal and professional conduct and shall comply with the Company's disciplinary code and conditions of service.

4.3. MART RESOURCES INC. will maintain good communications with employees, through company based information and consultation procedures.
4.4. Employees of MART RESOURCES INC. are expected to avoid personal activities and financial interests, which conflict with their jobs and the interest of the Company. The Company is to ensure that employees receive appropriate guidance in areas where such conflicts can arise.
   
5. PUBLIC ACTIVITIES
5.1. MART RESOURCES INC. will not support political parties or contribute to the funds of groups whose activities are calculated to promote partisan party interests.
5.2. MART RESOURCES INC. will promote and defend their legitimate business interests. In doing so they may either directly, or through bodies such as trade associations, raise questions and discuss particular government actions or decisions.
5.3. MART RESOURCES INC. will cooperate with governments, individuals, agencies and other organisations in the development of proposed legislation and other regulations which may affect their legitimate interests.
5.4. MART RESOURCES INC. will make a concerted effort to build and maintain good communication and relationships with governments in countries it operates, and with stakeholders.
   
APPLICATION/ DEFINITIONS
This Code applies to all involved with MART RESOURCES INC. throughout the world. Where MART RESOURCES INC. participates in joint ventures the application of these policies will be actively promoted.

MART RESOURCES INC. will ensure that contractors and their employees meet the expectations of this policy through their own policies, systems and procedures.

COMPLIANCE
The policies embodied in this document will be communicated to all employees, contractors and directors.

The corporate governance committee of the Board will monitor compliance with these guidelines. The Board of MART RESOURCES INC. will not criticise management for any loss of business resulting from the adherence to these principles. Equally, the Board of MART RESOURCES undertakes that no employee or contractor will suffer as a consequence of bringing to their attention or that of senior management, a breach or suspected breach of these policies.
